Not a Problem

No pictures taken on unlock attempts?

Why not get more pictures on email. Even after several times the wrong unlock pattern.

GALAXY S5 / SAMSUNG OWNERS ONLY, PLEASE READ HERE FIRST

If you're using lock pattern, be sure you're connecting 4 pads as a minimum for your tests! Below that threshold, this is not considered as a wrong attempt.

If you're using a pin/password, be sure you're entering 4 digits/characters as a minimum.

If the problem persist, be sure you disabled the "virtual flash" feature.

Otherwise, please look at the "recent activity" tab for any hints as errors/warnings.

This app doesnt work on S3, can´t take pictures even showing login failed and using more than 4 pads. I used in my pattern 9 pads and tested more than 100 wrong patterns with more than 4 pads and the app can´t take not even 1 photo. Bad app and can´t do what promisses.
Be sure to disable the "virtual flash" feature (if enabled). Do you tried using PIN or PASSWORD?

1- Be sure you disabled the virtual flash feature

2- Please try using both PIN and PASSWORD

3- Be sure you're not running another anti-theft app at the same time

BTW, you can attach files here.

I figured out that you didnt only have to have min 4 pads in the password but you also have to use at least 4 of the pads when it fails. Please fix. Than you

This is an Android limitation, not the app. You can't set pattern or password below 4.

If you get black picture, please raise the "capture delay" as suggested (advanced settings)

Think I figured out MY problem - It appears, if your login attempt is fewer than 4 characters, the email doesn't go out. If your attempt is 4 or more, a failed attempt email goes out

earlier i tried entering 1-2# for an unlock attempt, and emails didnt go out, but 4+ numbers and the email started getting sent.

Can this be fixed, or is it a andriod limit?

An android limit. Password/patterns are 4 minimum.

You guys had a good thing going however now I don't know what happened. I used this app and it worked flawless it's not doing what it's meant to do. I randomly from time to time enter a wrong password to see if the app is performing and it not shape again it don't alway take snap shot when the wrong password is entered. Then what is the purpose of it now. Please address or I want a refund.

This does not take pictures. I have the galaxy s5 and it does not take pictures. Says it cant access the camera. Ive done all the fixes in the comments and it dont work. I want my money back or fix it asap. If you cant make an app that works then dont ask for money for a app that dont work. Get back to me asap.
No need to be rude. BTW, the trial version was made for testing compatibilities! Amazing, no?

Just need your registered google play email.

For those who say this app don't work, I suggest you check your settings, to make sure you are doing it correctly..., for i had this app on every phone I had in the last 3yrs, it always work flawlessly..., phone list includes..., lg esteem, lg motion, galaxy s3, galaxy note 2 and now galaxy s5, even paid to have app place on my niece and nephews galaxy note 3 and galaxy s4..., so if you persist in saying there's a problem, it's not the app it's you...,

My phone Sony Xperia Z2 stopped taking photos!! I have the light report here

Fail to connect to camera service

Be sure you didn't installed another anti theft app fighting for the camera! Only one app can open the camera at once.

I do have another application that can access the camera only when I send a command via SMS. It has nothing to do with false pin attempts. Please inform me if that might cause a problem before uninstalling my Antivirus app (McAfee)

Solved!!!

I have deactivated 2 applications from administration. Airdroid and my Experia the second one is from Sony to track my phone. I don't know which one that causes the problem, but I am glad I got my GotYa app working again. I love the app more than any other.

Thank you

I have the Galaxy S4. Recently updated it a few days ago. App worked great until the update. It no longer takes photos on failed logins. I noticed there was a firmware update for the camera in the update. Could this be the reason for the app not working as it should (similar to the S5 problem)? And is there a fix in the works? Thx!

PS: I did purchase the upgrade as well)

My S4 is not taking pictures on failed logins. It does when I shut the device down. I too paid for the app twice. Love it when it was working.

S4 stopped taking images at failed login as well. Uninstaller and reinstall fixed it.

I have the same problem: Galaxy S5, no flashlight...

If I power off the phone, I'll get an email with pic. If I'm entering wrong pins (more than 4 digits), no email, no pic, nothing. There are no other anti-thief-apps...

It doesn't work on Galaxy Note 3 with 4.3 installed, not 4.4.2 and still

no photo is taken as we speak. So your claim that the problem is 4.4.2

makes no sense. Firmware hasn't changed for ever just because I refuse

to update to 4.4.2 (sd card writing privileges). The last 2 photos I see

are at the beginning of February, today did some more testing and still

nothing, no picture taken. No matter 4 pads are used.
